Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Osama Askar met Thursday with visiting Sierra Leonean Deputy Minister of Defense Muana Brima Massaquoi and his accompanying delegation within the framework of the first meeting of Egypt-Sierra Leone Military Cooperation Committee.
The meeting took up ways of boosting military cooperation.
The chief of staff underscored the depth of cooperation between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the armed forces of African countries.
He lauded efforts of the committee to realize the two countries’ aspirations regarding joint military cooperation and training programs.
For his part, Sierra Leone’s deputy minister of defense referred to the strong ties binding Egypt and his country, lauding Egyptian efforts in support of African peace and security.
Sierra Leone’s ambassador in Cairo and a number of armed forces commanders from Egypt and Sierra Leone took part in the meeting.
