ARISH – Arish International Airport received three planes carrying 115 tonnes of humanitarian and relief aid for the Gaza Strip from Arab and foreign countries, as well as regional and international organisations.

In statements on Monday, a reliable source in North Sinai said that a plane arrived from Kuwait belonging to the Kuwait Relief Society, loaded with medical supplies and blankets amounting to approximately 8,700 tonnes.

Another plane arrived from Pakistan belonging to UNICEF, carrying plastic sheeting estimated at around 72,850 tonnes. Additionally, a plane from the UAE, affiliated with the UAE Red Crescent Society for the Emirati Field Hospital in Gaza, arrived with food items, medical supplies, and 16 barrels of fuel, totaling approximately 33.70 tonnes.

The source added that the planes’ loads were unloaded and transported on trucks to be stored in the logistics warehouses of the Egyptian Red Crescent in the city of Al-Arish, to be prepared and entered into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land crossing.

The total number of planes that have arrived at Al-Arish Airport since October 12th until now has reached 506.
