The first edition of Arab Military Equestrian Championship started at the Equestrian Club in the New Administrative Capital under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The championship, organised by the Armed Forces will continue until tomorrow.
The first day witnessed intense competition among the participating teams, starting with the G7 Championship for juniors under 14 years old, showcasing Egypt’s budding talent in equestrian sports. The opening ceremony set the stage for this spirited contest.
In the team events of the Arab Military Equestrian Championship in show jumping, featuring nine Arab countries, Egypt clinched the top spot. Qatar secured second place, followed by Syria in third.
Additionally, the first day featured tough jousting competitions in individual, pairs, and team categories, with fierce rivalry among participants from six Arab nations. Egypt topped the individual rankings with 41.5 points, closely followed by Jordan with 41 points, and Iraq secured third place with 40 points.
In the team events, Jordan emerged victorious with 142 points, followed closely by Egypt with 140 points, while Saudi Arabia claimed third place with 32 points.
Delegations from participating Arab countries expressed profound gratitude to Egypt for its efforts in organising the championship, which embodies the spirit of brotherhood through sport, praising the excellent organisation and hospitality.
