CAIRO – The Arab League’s General Secretariat has welcomed the Norwegian government’s decision to ban the import of goods and services from companies that directly or indirectly contribute to Israel’s illegal settlement enterprise.
In press statements Thursday, Arab League’s Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and the Occupied Arab Territories Saeed Abu Ali called on the world’s countries and peoples who love justice, freedom and peace to boycott the Israeli occupation and its colonial settlements, which constitute a grave violation of international law and international legitimacy, especially UN Security Council Resolution 2334.
The official also underscored the necessity of confronting aggressive, racist plans and practices, implementing international legitimacy resolutions, and applying the principles of international law to end the Israeli occupation and enable the Palestinian people to exercise their rights to freedom and independence.
