Chairman of the Arab International Optronics Eng Tarek Saad Zaghloul, has emphasised the company’s vital role in supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Established in line with Egypt’s Armed Forces’ vision to build a robust industrial base, the company has emerged as a leading manufacturer of electro-optical devices, including night vision systems, thermal imaging devices, and laser rangefinders.

“Arab International Optronics plays a crucial role in manufacturing precision electronic devices such as radar systems and guided munitions, as well as advanced remote engagement systems.

Our focus lies in continuous product development to meet the evolving needs of both military and civilian customers,”said Zaghloul.

Highlighting the company’s commitment to local manufacturing, he added that they had successfully increased the share of locally-manufactured components, and reduced reliance on imports. Valuable job opportunities for young Egyptians have also risen.

Zaghloul further underlined the unwavering support offered by President
Abdel Fattah El Sisi for the localisation of industries, which has been instrumental in the company’s growth.

He pointed to the company’s strategic partnerships, including a successful collaboration with the Spanish company Escribano, which has resulted in a 65 per cent localisation of manufacturing.

He also stressed the importance of research and development, as well as fostering collaboration with universities and research institutions, and investing in continuous employee training.

Looking ahead, the Arab International Optronics aims to further enhance its global presence through active participation in international exhibitions such as EDEX Egypt, IDEX UAE, and Eurostore in France.

These platforms showcase the excellence achieved by the Egyptian products and are likely to usher in collaboration with international partners to benefit from cutting-edge technologies.

“Our employees are the backbone of our success,” stated Zaghloul.

“Their dedication and hard work drive us towards achieving self-sufficiency and establishing a strong global competitive advantage. The unwavering support of the Armed Forces has been instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, paving the way for a prosperous future for Egypt.”

A tour conducted by The Egyptian Gazette in the Arab International Optronics showcased the company’s impressive manufacturing capabilities, including advanced production lines in mechanical and optical manufacturing workshops.

This firsthand experience underscored the company’s commitment to technological excellence and its vital role in supporting Egypt’s industrial growth and national security.
