Director General of the Arab Bridge Maritime Company, Mr Adnan Al-Abadleh, affirmed today that the company — jointly owned by the governments of Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq — continues to operate safely and without interruption.
He confirmed that daily passenger and tourist ferry services remain fully operational on the Aqaba–Nuweiba international route and the Aqaba–Taba tourist route.
In response to rising demand and widespread flight cancellations and postponements, the company will increase sailings during this period to ensure uninterrupted sea transport.
Mr Al-Abadleh highlighted that the company serves as the primary maritime link between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Aqaba–Nuweiba and Aqaba–Taba corridors.
Amid ongoing regional conflict and the suspension or rerouting of numerous flights, the company provides a secure and dependable alternative for individuals and tourist groups seeking to complete their journeys or return home, with onward connections via Sharm el-Sheikh and Cairo International Airports.
He added that Iraqi and Syrian nationals arriving from Egypt can travel to Baghdad and Damascus through the Nuweiba–Aqaba route, subject to required approvals. Passengers may book through authorised offices in Jordan and Egypt or via the company’s official website.
