Egypt’s Tourism and Antiquities Minister Ahmed Eissa asserted that the highest tourist flow to Egypt was ever achieved in April.
Egypt received 1.350 million tourists last month, he elaborated, saying the tourism movement is witnessing a boom with the number of tourists expected to increase to 15 million this year.
Eissa’s remarks were made during the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between Akam Alrajhi Developments and IHG Hotels & Resorts on the management and operation of a hotel in Dose North Coast resort project on Monday.
Eissa commended efforts exerted to increase hotel rooms in the country.
The country seeks to have 30 million tourists by 2028, according to him.
He underscored the importance of the role of the private sector in leading growth in the tourism industry.
