CAIRO – Speaker of the Arab Parliament (AP) Adel Al Asoomi on Wednesday lauded the positive steps taken in some Arab countries in the field of human rights.
At a meeting of the Arab Observatory for Human Rights under his chairmanship, Asoomi appreciated the National Strategy for Human Rights that was launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi last month.
He also lauded a decision by president Sisi ending the extension of the state of emergency in the country.
The decision, he noted, reflects a positive state of stability and security in Egypt.
