The Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) announced that it will take part in the first Egyptian exhibition for Libya reconstruction.

The Benghazi-hosted exhibition will kick off on May 23 and will run until May 27.

The exhibition will be held as per President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to support Libya in its efforts to reconstruct the country.

Chairman of AOI Abdel Moneim el-Terras, meanwhile, underlined the close ties binding Egypt and Libya, stressing the importance of supporting the national security of the two Arab countries.

Head of the Joint Egyptian-Libyan Economic Chamber Ibrahim al-Jarari, for his part, expected acquiring the lion’s share in Libya’s reconstruction initiative, which will kick off in Benghazi on May 23.

Several preparatory meetings with the participation of investors were held over the past period, he said, adding that the participating Egyptian companies posted during the meetings all the necessary details.

He, meanwhile, voiced optimism that the forum, which will also includes holding a conference and an exhibition, would contribute positively to the reconstruction process in Libya.
