In this regard, AOI Chairman Abdel Moneim Al Tarras said under the protocol, AOI will cooperate with Geyushi in manufacturing electric buses and training human cadres, noting the local components will exceed 60%, according to a press release by AOI.
The deal aims to develop the passenger transportation services in Greater Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh, and New Administrative Capital, Tarras pointed out, referring to future expansion plans to meet the needs of African and Arab markets.
The AOI chairman stressed the importance of pumping new investments in the EVs and improving the efficiency of their related staff.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Geyushi’s Board of Directors Mohy El Din Geyushi said the company pays attention to localizing the industry of the electric buses with global standards with increasing local manufacturing prices.
