CAIRO – Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) Abdel Moneim el-Terras on Monday met with British Ambassador to Egypt Gareth Bayley. This came on the sidelines of his meetings with a number of European diplomatic envoys in Cairo in the presence of Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Badr Abdel Aati.
El-Tarras stressed the importance of such visits, which he described as an opportunity to introduce AOI capabilities and products and reflect the strength of the Egyptian economy.
The AOI chief referred to the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to expand co-operation with major companies in development projects, while benefiting from advanced European technology and its industrial capabilities.
For his part, Abdel Aati said several European countries look forward to further co-operation with Egypt in the fields of industry, training and technology transfer.
Major European companies are interested in strengthening co-operation with the AOI, Abdel Aati added.
During their tour, the ambassadors said Egypt’s market is attractive to investments, pointing out the organisation has a promising future in co-operation.
