The Egyptian armed forces have destroyed several terrorist outposts in North Sinai in the last three days as part of intensive efforts to combat and eliminate terrorism.
The air force bombed three 4WDs and a number of hideouts in the peninsula.
Law enforcement personnel blew up a camouflaged 4WD used by terrorist and four takfiri terrorists, whose bodies are yet unidentified.
The army also seized two RPGs, 3 machine guns, a pistol and sevberal types of ammunition.
The armed forces also seized weapons, ammunition, explosives, detonators, mobile phones and laptops from the village of Al-Muqata’a in North Sinai.
Terrorist attacks in North Sinai have declined in recent years following successive security and military operations.
In 2018, the Armed Forces launched a major counterterrorist drive, eradicating terrorism from North Sinai, the Delta and desert areas.
