In line with the Egyptian government’s endeavours towards digital transformation and expansion of new smart cities, Ambassador Hong of the Republic of Korea announced the 2021 K-City Global Partnership Programme.
Organised by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea, the programme is a platform for Government to Government G2G co-operation aimed at providing technical assistance in smart city projects and knowledge sharing. The Korean Ministry will select projects to be implemented through the programme in smart city planning, solution planning, and solution demonstration.
Ambassador Hong said that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport would be organising a briefing session on March 22nd, 2021 from 7:00-8:10AM (Cairo local time) for interested parties from partner countries including Egypt.
Ambassador Hong expects the programme would be a good opportunity for expanding Korea-Egypt partnership through inviting Egyptian ministries and authorities working in the smart cities’ development to take part in the programme and submit candidate projects until April 20, 2021.
The briefing session will be streamed on the YouTube channel: https://m.youtube.com/c/KINDKOREA and
