Alexandria Governor Mohamed el Sherif ordered on Thursday the continuation of the state of alert across the governorate as moderate to heavy rains continue to hit the Mediterranean city accompanied by strong winds.
He directed all heads of directorates to step up their field tours to detect any emergency and remove accumulated rain water in a bid to ensure easy traffic.
He stressed that the governorate’s operation room is working round the clock to receive any complaints on accumulated water.
