Alexandria and Dekheila ports were closed on Monday due to bad weather, strong winds and high waves, the Alexandria Port Authority said.
The two harbors were closed to ensure the safety of navigation movement and shipping operations and to avoid collision of vessels, Alexandria Port Authority Spokesman Ahmed Beraqaa said.
Meanwhile, Head of Alexandria Port Authority Board Tarek Shahin said all departments of the port are on high alert and taking all precautionary measures to ensure navigation safety.
