AL thanks Egypt for ensuring humanitarian access to Gaza

CAIRO – The Arab League (AL) extended thanks to Egypt and the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) for their efforts to facilitate the entry of the aid provided by the AL and the Arab countries to the Gaza Strip through Rafah crossing.

The AL, meanwhile, hoped to end Gaza’s intolerable tragedy and stop blood-shedding in the enclave.

This came in a speech delivered by Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector Haifa Abu Ghazaleh during the opening of the 113th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council at the Arab League.

Abu Ghazaleh, meanwhile, said that the AL general secretariat is keen on preparing a draft agenda to take into consideration the latest developments on a host of issues, including health, education, and social dialogue.
