CAIRO – The Arab League (AL) strongly condemned an Israeli government’s decision allowing the organisation of the so-called march of the flags in the occupied East Jerusalem, as it constitutes a flagrant violation of international law.
In a statement released on Thursday, AL Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and the Occupied Arab Territories Saeed Abu Ali warned that holding this far-right march could seriously lead to the explosion of the situation in the Palestinian territories.
He called on the Israeli government, which adopts the plans of Jewish settlers and far-right groups, to backtrack on this provocative march.
Abu Ali urged all countries and the international community to caution the Israeli government against such provocative practices that could have a harmful impact on the regional security and stability.
