Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit has strongly condemned the storming of Al Aqsa Mosque by Israeli far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
In a statement released on Thursday, Spokesman for the AL Secretary General Gamal Roshdy said the Israeli minister’s break-in is a provocative act, which aims to stir up the feelings of two billions of Muslims around the world.
Ben-Gvir’s incursion into the holy mosque under the Israeli police protection reveals the extreme nature of the Israeli government that is hostile to peaceful coexistence, the spokesman added.
