Chairman of the Board of Al Ahram Foundation Mohamed Farahat emphasised that the reform file of Egypt’s health system is indispensable for the file of pharmaceutical industry.
Farahat was addressing the inaugural session of the the fourth edition of the Al-Ahram Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Conference which is taking place under the slogan “Facing Challenges and Enhancing Innovation”.
The conference is attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Presidential Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag el Din and other and officials.
The convention of the conference falls within the framework of the key fast paced developments in the pharmaceutical market at both the local and international levels that have obviously emerged following the outbreak of the coronavirus in late 2019, Farahat said.
It also falls within the framework of the national strategy to localize the pharmaceutical industries through encouraging the local industry, building the drug city along with stimulating local and foreign investments in this vital sector, the chairman of the board of Al Ahram added.
Meanwhile, Farahat voiced appreciation to Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli for sponsoring the conference and continued support to Al Ahram foundation and national press institutions.
He also thanked Head of the National Press Authority (NPA) Abdel Sadek el Shorbagy for supporting Al Ahram foundation.
