Chairman of Air Cairo, Hussein Sharif, announced that its air fleet will reach 30 aircraft by the end of March.
Air Cairo is one of the companies affiliated to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Sharif said that the company had received its twentieth Airbus A320 aircraft at the beginning of March, and it is scheduled to receive another aircraft of the same model before the end of this month, in addition to its E190 and ATR72-600 aircraft.
Sharif said that Air Cairo is pursuing an ambitious plan to boost its air fleet and expand its network to connect Egyptian tourist attractions with a number of world countries.
The company is coordinating efforts with the national air carrier EgyptAir to form an integrated network covering most international cities around the globe, in order to accommodate the expected increase in tourism movement during the coming period, according to Air Cairo head.
Sharif said that the company’s fleet is planned to reach 60 aircraft by 2027. He stressed that Air Cairo will witness a quantum leap in terms of the number of daily flights, the increase of new destinations and the expansion of its network of routes.
