Osama El Gohary, Assistant Prime Minister and president of the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), said the center’s pavilion at the Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to showcase its works at the event.
He told MENA on Thursday that the center worked on developing different tools over the past years in AI-linked fields to provide visitors with better services.
The center shows its products through new and different mechanisms, including digital multimedia, digital platforms and metaverse technologies, he added.
The CIBF was opened on Wednesday by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli at Egypt Center for International Exhibitions and Conferences, in the Fifth Settlement.
About 1,200 Arab and foreign publishers take part in this year’s fair.
Norway is the guest of honor of the fair which is held from January 25 to February 5.
Egyptologist Selim Hassan was selected as the fair’s character and writer Yacoub Sharoni as the character of child book fair.
