Supply Minister Ali el-Meselhi said that there will be discount rates ranging between 25% to 30% on basic supply commodities at “Ahlan Ramadan” fairs that will established by the ministry in the various governorates ahead of the holy fasting month of Ramadan of 2022.
During his meeting with the board of the Egyptian Chamber of Food Industries (CFI) on Tuesday, Meselhi said that 1,350 consumer complexes and Gameaty outlets, affiliated to the Supply Ministry, will participate in the exhibitions with the defined discounts, adding that special pavilions will be allocated for wholesale supply chains that will participate with discounts up to 30%.
Meselhi said that there is coordination between his ministry and the governors to choose the venues for setting up the exhibitions to meet the basic supply needs of the citizens.
He asserted that “Decent Life” initiative will participate in the exhibitions with big discounts along with the main fair for Ramadan commodities in Cairo’s center for exhibitions that will be held under the auspices of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli.
Meanwhile, Spokesman for the Ministry of Supply Ahmed Kamal said that these exhibitions contribute to providing the citizens with essential supply commodities with big discounts and affordable prices for all social classes.
