Egypt’s Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister El Sayyed el Quseir underlined the strength of historical ties binding Egypt and Sudan.
The minister, meanwhile, referred to the directives issued by the political leadership to promote cooperation with Sudan.
The minister’s remarks came during his meeting with Sudanese investment and industry minister in the northern state in Sudan Omar Ali Saleh.
During the meeting, Quseir welcomed promoting cooperation with the northern state in Sudan, especially in the spheres of palms and dates and fish wealth.
For his part, the Sudanese minister said that holding this meeting is considered an important step to identify specific frameworks for cooperation between the two sides.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides underlined the importance of continuing coordination with the aim of attaining food security for the two countries’ peoples.
