Egyptian Minister of Agriculture el Sayyed el Qusair discussed with South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda means to develop agriculture, fish, animal wealth and fisheries in the governorate.
This came during a meeting between Qusair and Fouda that was attended by Deputy Agriculture Minister for Fish, Animal and Poultry Wealth Moustafa el Sayyad and top officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and the governorate.
The meeting comes as part of a series of meetings to follow up joint issues and push forward the agricultural development process in South Sinai.
Qusair thanked Fouda for the efforts exerted by South Sinai governorate during the organisation of COP 27 in Sharm el-Sheikh.
During the meeting, they agreed on forming a scientific committee to study the challenges facing the new agricultural communities in the governorate and working on increasing the technical and guidance to the national campaigns to improve the agricultural harvests and spread the good agricultural practices.
They agreed on supporting Sinai residents and removing any hindrances facing the efforts of agricultural development in Sinai at the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to open new horizons for development in the governorate in addition to tourism development in the Red Sea province.
