CAIRO – Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation el Sayed el Quseir discussed with a delegation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) the preparations taken by Egypt to host COP27 in November.
He had a meeting on Saturday with IFAD Associate Vice-President with Jyotsna Puri and IFAD Regional Director of the Near East, North Africa and Europe Division (NEN) Dina Saleh.
During the meeting, the minister highlighted the priorities of the Egyptian government to expand projects meant to counter the impact of the climate change.
El Quseir praised historic ties between Egypt and IFAD, shedding light on their fruitful cooperation in different domains.
For her part, Puri said IFAD continuously follows up projects carried out by Egypt in the agricultural field, noting that the COP27 will be a good opportunity to launch initiatives on adapting to the climate change.
