The Egyptian Space Agency plays a significant role for serving space sciences, localising this vital industry, and building future generations who can cope with technological advances.
This statement by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli came during his meeting on Thursday with Dr Sherif Sedki, executive chairman of the Egyptian Space Agency (EGSA).
This meeting is in response to government interest in space technology and satellites for their role in attaining sustainable development goals, the premier said.
Dr Sedky referred to the goals of the EGSA and efforts to localise space technology.
He also unveiled plans for Satellite City which will be home to the EGSA, an administrative building, a library and a conference hall.
