Akinwumi Adesina, the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, has praised the “brave” decisions made by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to accelerate achievements in the field of renewable energy.
Speaking during an inaugural session of the annual meetings of the AfDB in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city of Sharm el Sheikh on Tuesday, Adesina said the achievements made in Egypt have proven that change could happen quickly if a true will is there.
Eighty-one members of the AfDB board of governors are attending the Group’s annual meetings this year together with governors of central banks, finance ministers, senior private sector officials, and some academics and development partners.
