Egyptian Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el Said announced the extension of the application period for the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects until September 18, submitted by all governorates on the initiative’s website www.sgg.eg.
The move came within the framework of the State’s leading role in the sustainable development sphere, added the minister in statements on Tuesday.
The initiative has witnessed a high turnout nationwide since the opening of the admission for smart green projects on the initiative’s platform on August 21, according to the minister.
The minister, meanwhile, explained that the total number of projects submitted so far exceeded 2,000 projects at the level of the six categories of the initiative.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli issued on August 9 decree no. 2738/2022 on launching a National Initiative for Smart Green Projects in all governorates under the supervision of the Planning and Economic Development Ministry.
The initiative shows the State’s keenness to deal with the environmental dimension and climate change issues, as well as drawing a map for all smart green projects nationwide.
