CAIRO/GENEVA- Acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of co-operation with the German side in the health sector.
Abdel Ghaffar’s remarks came during his meeting with Managing Board Member and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siemens Healthineers Bernd Montag along with Siemens Healthineers’ CEO for the Middle East and Southern and Eastern Africa Ole Maloy and their accompanying delegations.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva.
The minister, meanwhile, extended thanks to the German Siemens company and its continued support to the health sector in Egypt.
The meeting also tackled ways of boosting co-operation in mechanisation sphere and maintenance of medical devices at all the centers, units and hospitals affiliated with the ministry, said Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
Co-operation with the German side continues in training human caders working at the Egyptian health spheres, the spokesman quoted the acting minister as saying during the meeting.
