Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit lauded the positive and wise role played by Oman to boost joint Arab work and support the Arab League especially in light of the current circumstances resulting from the different crises.
This came on Wednesday during Abul Gheit’s meeting with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Hamad Hamood Al Busaidi on the sidelines of his visit to Muscat to participate in the 3rd Arab Competition Forum.
The meeting tackled the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the Arab economic and social conditions and the latest developments of the Arab initiative to solve this crisis, an official source in the general secretariat of the Arab League said.
Abul Gheit reviewed the latest developments of the joint Arab work and preparations for the coming Arab summit due to be held at the end of 2022 in Algeria, the source said.
Both sides agreed on boosting co-operation in the field of training and building the capabilities of the employees and diplomats via launching joint programmes in this respect, the source added.
