Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit conferred with UN Secretary General António Guterres on the Palestinian cause, asserting that it is a priority to achieve stability and prosperity in the region.
They expressed their commitment on continuous coordination to find the political solutions needed for the crises facing some countries in the region.
This came in a statement issued by the AL on Tuesday during Abul Gheit’s meeting with Guterres on the sidelines of the 77th round of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
The meeting tackled a flurry of issues relation to the international crises as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.
During the meeting, Abul Gheit lauded the commitment of Guterres to the Palestinian cause.
Abul Gheit lauded the important role of Guterres during the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, asserting the importance of resuming efforts to evade having a serious food crisis next year, Spokesman for the AL Gamal Roshdy said.
