Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit called for investing in digital infrastructure, boosting innovation centers and qualify young people with required digital skills in the Arab states.
The move mainly contributes to helping the Arab world lead the digital economy efforts worldwide, added Abul Gheit.
Such visualization is not untouchable and the Arab societies possess excellent centers for education and development for youths, he said.
The AL secretary general’s remarks came in a speech at the Arab Public Administration Forum in Dubai, UAE, which is held in cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization( ARADO), under the slogan “productivity in the digital age” on Wednesday.
Abul Gheit said that digital transition and the creation of digital governments are not options, but a necessity, adding that the Arab world has the vision, resources and talents to lead the transition efforts.
However, success requires cooperation and coordination of initiatives and the promotion of innovation culture along with joint commitment to shaping a better future to all, he further explained.
