CAIRO – Abu Simbel International Airport received hundreds of tourists from all over the world to participate in the celebration of the phenomenon of the sun’s perpendicular fall on the face of King Ramses II at the Abu Simbel temple.
The rare solar phenomenon occurs twice a year, one on October 22, and the other on February 22 of each year.
Work teams were formed at the airport to receive the guests of Egypt, with a commitment to implement all precautionary measures against the coronavirus to preserve the safety and health of passengers.
Passengers were received with flowers, sweets and souvenirs from pharaonic statues and folkloric performances.
