CAIRO – The seventh Cairo Water Week is an important event bringing together experts and specialists from different world countries to discuss main topics related to water, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam said Thursday.
The minister received a report from Walid Haqiqi, head of planning sector and CEO of the Cairo Water Week, on arrangements for holding this event on October 13-17 under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The week is set to focus on several water-linked issues, including joint international water governance for sustainable development, strategic management of water resources for promoting flexibility of society, water security and adaption to climate change, among others.
