CAIRO – More than 50,000 Egyptians visited a number of museums and archaeological sites in different parts of Egypt on the 1st day of Eidul Fitr.
This reflects the keenness of the Egyptians to know the Egyptian ancient civilization via visiting museums and touristic sites.
As many as 25,000 visitors visited the Pyramids and 3,700 went to Salaheldin Citadel.
Also, thousands of Egyptians visited Al Azhar Mosque and the mosques of Sultan Hassan and el Refaie.
In Alexandria, the Citadel of Qaitbay received more than 5,000 visitors.
