The Egypt Japan University for Science and Technology (EJUST) website is open to applications from African students for 50 scholarships until February 12.
Professor Masaaki Suzuki, First Vice President of regional and International affairs, said the aim is to hone the skills of the African students in science, technology and innovation to support development in Africa.
The university has 150 places for African students in batches of 50 for the next three years, as per the announcement at the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-7).
Grants funded by the governments of Egypt and Japan cover stipend, accommodation, tuition and airline tickets to Egypt, Suzuki said.
