SHARM EL SHEIKH- The fourth edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF) opened here on Monday in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his spouse Intissar El Sisi under the rubric “Back Together”.
Following the inauguration, the gathering’s main session – “Covid-19 Pandemic: Warning for Humanity & New Hope” started with the participation of a number of world leaders and 196 youths from around the globe.
The four-day event is being held amid tight health precautionary measures due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A host of issues drawing on a new reality posed by the untoward impact of the pandemic that took its toll on the world will figure high during the forum’s discussions.
The three main pivots for the forum: Peace, Innovation and Development; are all meant to enhance dialogue among youths worldwide, along with promoting discussion of developmental issues and sending a message of peace and prosperity from Egypt to the entire globe.
