CAIRO – The fourth edition of the Arab Week for Sustainable Development will be launched at the Arab League’s HQ on Sunday.
The week is themed” Together for Sustainable Recovery” and will be jointly organized by the AL, the UN, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt and the World Bank.
Director of the AL’s sustainable development and international co-operation department plenipotentiary Nada el- Agizy said in statements on Thursday that the week’s activities will be held after a two-year hiatus over Covid-19 pandemic repercussions.
This edition will probe ways of alleviating repercussions and negative impacts of coronavirus to help achieve sustainable development goals in Arab countries, added Agizy.
Participants in the three-day week will discuss international, Arab and national experiments, she said, adding they will also take up sustainable financing, climate change, in addition to the role of IT in post-Covid recovery, according to her.
