The 43 session of the General Council of the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity (OATUU) kicked off here under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The session takes place from October 18 till October 20 and will host participants from 52 African countries as well as representatives of regional and international organisations.
The three-day conference addresses local and international legislations and their impact on achieving comprehensive development in the African continent and making an optimal use of its natural and humanitarian resources.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF) Mohamed Gobran said Sisi’s sponsoring of the conference asserted that he was paying much attention to labor and development issues in Africa with the objectives of realising the best interests of its peoples.
