The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has officially announced the successful arrival of all Egyptian pilgrims traveling through licensed tourism companies to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj rituals for the Islamic year 1446 AH. A total of 40,672 pilgrims have arrived via well-coordinated air and land transport, implemented with comprehensive logistical arrangements to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being.

The head of the Egyptian Tourism Hajj Mission, Ms. Samia Sami, stated that this year’s operations included 421 flights, carrying approximately 33,172 pilgrims across both economic and five-star packages. Additionally, 180 tourist buses transported 7,500 pilgrims via land, reflecting the diverse and inclusive tourism Hajj programmes designed to accommodate a wide range of citizen needs.

She further noted that the ministry’s field oversight committees – stationed in Mecca and Medina – have been operating around the clock to monitor pilgrim arrivals, oversee accommodation placements in accordance with approved contracts, and address any complaints or inquiries promptly to maintain high levels of service satisfaction.

Sami underscored the ministry’s commitmentto place the safety and comfort of pilgrims at the forefront of Hajj operations. She also emphasised the importance of ongoing coordination with Saudi authorities and all relevant agencies to ensure the smooth execution of the pilgrimage rituals and the provision of services that exceed pilgrims’ expectations.

These efforts align with the ministry’s strategic objective to deliver a highly organized and exemplary Hajj season, reinforcing the tourism Hajj model as one of the most efficient and citizen-focused frameworks for pilgrimage organisation.

The ministry further confirmed that the final tourism Hajj flight for the season arrived in Saudi Arabia two days ago with 116 pilgrims on board, while the last land convoy, comprising eight tourist buses carrying 313 pilgrims, arrived last Thursday.
