Egypt exported $40 million worth of paper packaging materials to Kenya in the period January-August 2022, an official statement said on Thursday.
The Egyptian Export Council for printing, packaging and paper announced that 20 companies in this sector are taking part in the first world paper fair in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on October 5.
“The fair is a good opportunity for letting companies learn more about different products and sign various contracts,” the author of the press statement said.
“Kenya is an important African market importing Egyptian products, representing 7 per cent of net Egyptian exports to Africa,” the statement added.
Kenya ranks eighth in the list of countries importing from Egypt.
The fair ends today.
