As many as 4,506,050 head of cattle have been vaccinated against the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and the Rift Valley Fever (RVF) nationwide so far, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed el Quseir said on Saturday.
This came in a report received by Agriculture Minister from the General Authority for Veterinary Services on the total number of cattle immunized against FMD and RVF as part of the second national vaccination campaign launched on July 13 to protect livestock nationwide.
As per the report, up to 2,399,467 head of cattle were vaccinated against FMD and 2,106,583 others against RVF.
