CAIRO – The 37th session of the Council of Arab Justice Ministers kicked off on Monday at the Arab League premises under the chairmanship of Algerian Justice Minister Abdul Rashid Tabbi.
Egypt’s delegation to the council meeting is chaired by Justice Minister Counselor Omar Marawan.
The Council of Arab Justice Ministers addresses means of combating organised crime and the phenomenon of terrorism that has spread in the whole world.
The meeting’s agenda includes unifying the Arab legislation, the Arab agreements on combating corruption, the Arab draft agreement on organising the refugees affairs status and the justice ministries efforts to curb the coronavirus.
A statement released by the Arab League on Sunday said this session is an important step towards enhancing the Arab and international co-operation in the legal and judiciary fields.
The general secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council, the general secretariat of the Gulf Co-operation Council and Nayef University for Security Sciences take part in the session.
