3 humanitarian aid planes arrive in El Arish Airport to help Gazans

Three humanitarian aid planes arrived at El Arish International Airport from Oman, Qatar, Belgium, and Indonesia carrying relief materials for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

An official source at El Arish Airport said on Tuesday that the first plane arrived from the UAE carrying 21 tonnes of food supplies, the second from Qatar carrying 38 tons of medicines, and the third plane, Belgian, carrying 53 tons of medical supplies.

The source indicated that the cargo of the planes was unloaded and transferred to logistical warehouses in El Arish in preparation for transportation to the Rafah land port and entry into the sector in coordination between the Palestinian and Egyptian Red Crescent and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

The source also noted that a variety of aid ships from Indonesia carrying 242 tonnes for the benefit of Gaza residents arrived at El Arish seaport.

The source clarified that the total number of planes that have arrived at El Arish Airport since October 12 last year is 582 planes carrying aid from several Arab and foreign countries, regional and international organizations. Among them are 466 planes carrying thousands of tons of various aids and relief materials to the Gaza Strip provided by 50 Arab and foreign countries and regional and international organizations, in addition to 106 planes carrying official and solidarity delegations that visited the Rafah port, aid warehouses in El Arish, and Palestinian wounded in hospitals in North Sinai.
