CAIRO – Egypt’s Ministry of Interior’s traffic directorate recorded 2,848 traffic violations against drivers for not installing electronic stickers over the past 24 hours.
The electronic car stickers are fixed to windshields and include a SIM card that holds the vehicle’s data, allowing authorities to track violations, license expiration and traffic congestion.
The data can be read by special infrared sensors at traffic lights.
