The Egyptian Agriculture Ministry announced on Sunday seizing and destroying 259,486 kilograms of meat, chicken and fish unfit for human consumption.
This came in a report sent to Agriculture Minister El Sayed Qussair by Head of the General Veterinary Services Authority Ehab Saber on campaigns carried out on markets across the nation in January, February and March.
The campaigns come as part of the ministry’s efforts to preserve public health and secure safe food to citizens.
