SOHAG, Egypt – Sohag Governor Tarek El Fekki said that the first stage of projects of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” were implemented with a cost of EGP 45 billion in Sohag governorate.
In statements, the governor said that the projects, totalling 1556 in 21 different service sectors, have been carried out for development of the rural areas in the governorate.
El Fekki pointed out that the projects covered different sectors; drinking water, sanitation, health, roads, electricity, agricultural complexes and establishment of housing units.
The governor praised the initiative describing it as the largest one in the Egyptian history to develop rural villages and change the lives of its residents in all aspects of life comprising the economic, social, environmental, and health fields.
He made it clear that the presidential initiative is optimizing the capabilities of youth and the local resources to achieve sustainable comprehensive and development in Egypt.
