CAIRO – As many as 165 production entities from 22 governorates will take part in the national competition for locally-manufactured food and heritage products, which will kick off in mid-March, said Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamea.
In a statement Sunday, Gamea said that the competition is considered a successful mechanism to shed light on food heritage and tackle ways to protect the Egyptian food identity.
The competition also aims to contribute to attaining local economic development and achieving the goals of the “Decent Life” presidential initiative to develop Egypt’s poorest village, added the minister.
