CAIRO – Chairman of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Mohamed Abdel Karim has stressed that the authority coordinates with Fayoum governorate to develop a strategy for industrialisation.
He reiterated on Thursday that both sides also work on developing industries based on agriculture and mineral resources in the governorate to create new job opportunities for Fayoum inhabitants.
Abdel Karim’s remarks came at a ceremony held for handing over to 60 investors the contracts of 113 factories ready for operation in the complexes of New Fayoum City.
The ceremony was also attended by Fayoum Governor Ahmed Al Ansary and a number of respective officials.
Abdel Karim added that such a step is part of the presidential initiative on backing small and medium enterprises and creating further job opportunities and new development axis, particularly in Upper Egyptian governorates.
