CAIRO – The 110th session of the Arab League Economic and Social Council kicked off here on Monday at the premises of of the Arab League general secretariat.
The session will address a number of important files of top priority to the joint Arab action.
Arab League Assistant Secretary General for Social Affairs Sector Ambassadress Haifa Abu Ghazala said the council’s agenda includes the latest developments on the Arab arena especially regarding the economic and social issues that will be raised at the 31st regular session of the Arab League Council.
The conferees will address the establishment of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA), boosting investments among Arab countries, supporting the Palestinian economy as well as the unified Arab speech at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank for 2022.
The Arab League Economic Council held a meeting on Sunday as part of its preparations for the Social and Economic Council meetings at the level of senior officials and ministers set for Wednesday and Thursday.
